    Birthday note

    On my birthday, I am:
    • Happy since all my good friends have already sent me a birthday note
    • Full because i had full breakfast since I don't want to starve like yesterday
    • Overwhelmed with silver ornaments
    • Not ageing that badly yet
    • Going to celebrate with family first time on the 'new' calendar instead of old
    • Expecting a yummy Napolean cake that Gohgoh will be buying me
    • Thankful I had lunch for Thai cuisine with great friends at work

    約翰福音10﹕10

    昨晚去罷 Penny 的追思禮拜﹐有感而發。

     

    是的﹐起初神做人是要叫我們快樂。將伊甸園都給了亞當和夏娃就是要他們有平安喜樂。那麼你還要愁煩著什麼呢﹖

     

    話雖如此﹐神卻沒有保證基督徒的生命就能風調雨順﹐事事順境。但耶穌說﹕“我來了、是要叫人得生命、並且得的更豐盛。”(約翰福音10﹕10) 而且即使我們遇見重重的困難  -“主耶和華阿、你曾用大能和伸出來的膀臂創造天地、在你沒有難成的事。”(耶利米書32﹕17) 對 -  在祢沒有難成的事﹗神賜我們的生命﹐看來難題不在于解決眼淺儒昧的人看到的所謂困境﹐而是如何在主內得更豐盛的生命﹗

     

    Penny, 妳的選擇我很難受但尊重。我們並沒有像那牧師般武斷妳是對或錯﹐是神所喜悅或憎惡﹐是認同或不認同。因為這些到現在都並不重要了。妳的枷鎖只有妳和我們的主最清楚。是釋放了﹗﹖這卻是鐵一般的事實。

     

    小時候媽媽總說不要在別人睡覺時拍照﹐這樣會好像幫死人拍照一樣。我瞻看著妳的遺容﹐並回看了一眼 - 這話便不再成立了。與睡態的妳根本是兩馬子的事。我可寧願妳只在歇息。。。

     

    “恩” - 我很喜歡妳寫的這首詩歌。好像一直都沒有機會告訴妳。。。

    Bill Gates Versus General Motors

    Business Magazine - Auckland Business Catalogue October 2006 edition:

    For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on.
    At a recent computer expo (COMDEX) Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon. "
    In response to Bill's Comments, General Motors issued a press release
    stating: If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics (and I just love this part):
    1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day.
    2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car.
    3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull to the side of the road, close all the windows, shot off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.
    4. Occasionally executing a manoever such as a left turn would case your car to shut down and refuse to start, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.
    5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive - but would run on only 5% of the roads.
    6. The oil, water temperature and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This car has performed an illegal operation"
    warning light.
    7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying.
    8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.
    9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.
    10. You'd have to press the "start" button to turn the engine off.

    生活智慧王整理

    去除襯衫衣領、腋下汗斑的秘訣
    先用刷子塗上洗髮精，或擦上刮鬍膏後靜置四之五分鐘再洗，即可順利洗淨。
    黑色衣服褪色時的補救
    1.若是棉質的可再水中加一點啤酒沖洗
    2.    若是毛質的就用煮過菠菜的汁洗洗看
    防止牛仔褲掉色的方法
    新買的牛仔褲，可先進在濃鹽水中，過了整整一天，再以一般方法洗滌即可。平時在洗滌時，若能將裏側翻出來再洗曬乾，也能使褪色的程度減到最低。
    使剪刀恢復銳利的方法
    利用鋁箔紙，將二、三張疊在一起，用剪刀剪一剪，剪刀立刻就會銳利的令人吃驚。
    玻璃杯重疊抽不出來時的處理法
    在內杯加冷水，外側的杯子浸在溫水中。使二者產生溫差，就可順利抽出。另外也可在重疊處架上洗潔精或肥皂潤滑，以方便取出。
    不傷傢俱的蠟筆污跡去除法
    蠟筆污跡無法以水去除，用油漆溶劑雖可去除，但會剝去塗料而使表面受損，最適合的方法是用牙膏擦拭，不僅可擦很乾淨，也不會傷到傢俱。
    長久保存皮質、絲質衣物的方法
    皮質和絲質等高級衣物，愈是纖細就愈不能放在塑膠袋裡。因為東西在密封的情況下，無法接觸空氣，濕氣就會積在裡面，當然發霉就無可避免了。所以從洗衣店取回的衣物，最好除去塑膠袋，在上面蓋上薄紙，才收存起來。
    消除裙襟、褲腳折痕
    此時，如果在折痕上塗一點醋，就不會那麼明顯了。在整燙之前，先以舊牙刷塗一點薄醋在折痕上，然後以低溫燙一燙，就幾乎看不出來了。
    防止CD音響沾上灰塵
    最好使用防靜電劑。而這東西可以家中的衣服柔軟精代替。以十倍的水稀釋，再用紙巾或軟布沾取輕拭表面，就可使灰塵難以沾附而輕鬆除去。
    簡單拔除螺絲釘的秘訣
    長時間沒有拔出過的螺絲釘，可利用熨斗使螺絲釘因熱而膨脹，待它冷卻收縮時就可容易用螺絲起子拔除了。若螺絲釘生鏽了，可用布沾碳酸飲料貼在上面。就可使它滑潤鬆弛，要拔除就輕鬆了。
    牆壁的頑垢去除法
    不管是蠟筆或鉛筆，都可以棉花沾牙膏拭除。手垢的話更簡單，可用麵包揉成團擦拭，或以舊毛襪、橡皮擦、砂紙等擦拭，若都無效不如使用和牆壁同色的水彩或水性油漆塗上去，污垢就不會那麼明顯了。
    棉被的有效率曬法
    棉被蓋在人體上時，會不斷吸取濕氣，所以必須定期曝曬在陽光下。雨天時固然不行，若在多雲的天氣想曬好被子，可在被子上蓋上一張剪開了的黑色大垃圾袋。如此雖陽光不大也能因黑色的吸收使棉被鬆軟舒適。
    如何清除門把或衣櫥手把上的銹痕
    用100% 的蕃茄汁用軟布沾取擦拭。一般用鋼刷用力刷才去得掉的銹用此法就可輕鬆去除且不留刮痕。
    製作麻糬
    圓糯米100克，水150 cc，放入果汁機打成漿，倒入馬克杯約3 分之一，用保鮮膜包好，放入微波爐，請試調整個人微波爐溫度，我們使用的是中強火6分鐘，並可嘗試自己加料調味放入微波爐。
    快煮6分鐘的稀飯
    要煮稀飯前一天先將白米洗好放置在冷涷庫，要煮時將白米拿出來放置在鍋裏，加上一點水（不需加太多），再蓋上鍋蓋煮個5-6分鐘左右即可。
    胖在腹部要消肚子的人
    每天晚上睡覺前及每天早上剛醒來各做一次即可:
    肚臍正上方一指幅處（約2公分）揉50下
    肚臍左右各三指幅處揉50下
    肚臍下方4指幅處揉50下
    廚房拖地先放醋
    廚房的地板很容易囤積油垢，拖地前，不妨在拖把上倒入一些醋，如此就能讓油污逃之夭夭！
    吹風機輕鬆去標籤
    買禮盒送人時，價錢標籤很難撕掉，用手摳會摳的黑黑髒髒的反而更難看，如果用吹風機吹熱一下再撕，會很輕鬆的撕下來，不留一點痕跡！
    鳳梨皮煮不鏽鋼鍋
    不鏽鋼鍋易沾黑垢，難刷洗，現只要將家中較大的鍋子加清水，投入一些鳳梨皮，再把較小號的鍋子通通放入，煮滾二十分鐘，待冷拿出，個個光亮如新！
    飲水機加檸檬去污漬
    家裡的茶壺．飲水機用久了，裡面有一層白白後後的渣，這時不妨到市場買一顆檸檬，去籽外，切半放進飲水機或茶壺內煮個二或三小時，你會發現裡面的渣變少了，多試幾次，你會有滿意的效果喔！
    牙膏清洗冰箱電鍋
    如果家裡的冰箱和電鍋是白色的，日子久後若有些變黃，在清洗時不妨試試擠些牙膏輕輕擦洗，會讓你有意想不到的潔白光亮。
    過期的牛奶可擦家具
    牛奶過期不能喝時，可將抹布放在裡面浸濕，用來擦桌子．地板，很快就可以將污垢除去！
